I am a 71 year old retired person, carer to my wife who was diagnosed as having dementia in September 2011. We live in retirement village on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia.
Hi there. I am studying Understanding Dementia MOCC with UTAS and have been truly inspired to find out more about dementia from both the ‘patient’s’ perspective and that of the primary care giver. I have just discovered your blog and have subscribed. I would like to wish you and your lovely wife all the very best! Kind regards Dx
Hi Dinease. Thank you for your comment. I too was doing the course with UTAS until I had to have surgery to deal with my bleeding brain .(refer to blog entry in January). I would recommend Kate Swaffer’s blog if you haven’t already found it.
I wish you all the best with your studies
